I'm Back!!

It feels like forever since I have written a post in awhile. I think I have been in a writing rut and not to mention the holiday season is in full swing.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of food and family and not to mention the long weekend off from work was amazing. Don't get me wrong I love my job but there is something about waking up on a Monday after having four days off that just makes you feel blah. Not to mention I've given up coffee cold turkey so my mornings are very interesting. Trust me it has been hard, not just the headaches from the withdrawal but I also just miss it!

My holiday season is booking up pretty fast, I love it but sometimes I just want no plans at all. I just want to sit back and enjoy the season. I put up all my decorations this weekend and will be getting our tree next Sunday, early I know but I want to enjoy it instead of rushing to put it up and take it down. Ryan thinks I'm nuts but I secretly think he loves it!

Well I must get ready to head to work, but I just wanted to jump on here quick to let all those know that I have not abandoned my blog, just took a little hiatus to get my head together.

Enjoy your Monday!

Until next time.

Some Snowfall and a Thursday Link-Up

Hello my blog loves, one day closer to Friday, how can you complain...oh wait it snowed yesterday! I could not believe it when I glanced outside this morning and saw the snow covering the ground.

Not okay!

Anyway, its Thursday and I'm linking up for It's Ok Thursday. Not sure if I can come up with enough things that I am letting slide this week, but I will try.

It's okay...

...that I am going to start my Christmas shopping and decoration planning this weekend.

...that I have finally realized I need to get into shape and will start working out everyday before work.

...that I haven't had time to catch up on my celebrity gossip. Miss my Perez.

...that I'm listening to Christmas music.

...that I bought new boots last weekend and I will be buying them in black this weekend.

...that I have given up on working on some friendships, I'm happy with the people in my life.

....that I have NO IDEA what to get Ryan for Christmas. No Clue!!!

...that I get tired at 8:00. Is it bedtime yet?

Well with it being almost 8, I better get ready for bed haha but seriously. I'm going to go cuddle with the guy for a bit, then off to bed.

Goodnight all....until next time.

My Fellow Americans

Happy Election Day! I hope everyone had the chance to get out and vote today! I voted via absentee ballot because I'm now living in MA and just haven't registered here yet. Anyways I was pretty excited that I was able to vote and as we sit here in anticipation waiting for the election shows to start and the ballots to be counted, I thought I would take some time to write a bit.

I'm sure everyone has heard about the Nor'Easter that may be hitting New England this week. Don't get me wrong this is my favorite time of year I love the holidays and spending time with family and friends, but the weather that accompanies this time of year is not my favorite. I don't like being cold and I hate the snow. But all I can do is throw on a cute scarf and jacket and face the elements. That was my little vent sesh for the night.

Speaking of the holiday season. As crazy as it seems, I am going to get a head start on my Christmas shopping this weekend. I have quite the lengthy list of loved ones this year and need to start now so I don't overwhelm myself. Also, its the first year me and Ryan are celebrating the holidays in our own place which means I have to of course start my collection of decorations as soon as I can!

If only my living room looked like that!

Well stay warm everyone and if I don't write (because I'm too wrapped up in Christmas shopping, no pun intended) enjoy the weekend!

Until next time!

Friday is The Best Day

I love that feeling of waking up on a Friday when you know this is your last day to have to get up early, its a great feeling.

I have failed as a blogger this week but I have just been too tired to post. But I made a promise to myself that if I could post at least once a week I would and here it is!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! We had no Trick or Treaters which made me sad but I kind of had a feeling living in an apartment that we really wouldn't have any but of course I bought candy anyway, now I must fight and have strong willpower not to eat it.

I know I swore up and down that I would not see Paranormal Activity in theaters, but I was peer pressured into it. Ryan had his friends up on Tuesday night and we went out for a few drinks and the next thing I knew I was at the movies. In all honesty it wasn't that scary - a few jumpy parts but nothing like the others.

This weekend looks nice and relaxing which is good because before we know it the holidays will be in full swing and it will be busy busy busy. I will be spending Saturday visiting with family and just enjoying the beautiful weather we are expecting. Sunday of course will be house keeping and football per usual!

Have a good Friday everyone!

Until next time!

Obsessions for a Thursday

With some time to spare I thought I would share some of my latest obsessions on this lovely Thursday. Yes, one day closer to the weekend!

My first obsession lately is tights with boots. I am absolutely loving the look and can't wait to get myself a brown pair of boots to add to my closet!

love love love

My next love of the week is my gel nail color. At first I couldn't love the color because I was disappointed it wasn't darker like the bottle promised, but that is always the case with nail polish. But as I get use to it, the more I love it.

red delicious!

My last obsession of course has to be a food option and I can't get enough of them. I never feel good about eating a bagel, just too many carbs at one time, but bagel things solve everything. And of course when I came across the pumpkin spice flavor in the grocery store, I knew I needed to have them. Try them! I swear you will love them!

yum!

Well, my coffee is just about done brewing and I need to head out, have a wonderful day!

Until next time!

Feelings of a Hockey Fan

As I sit here on the couch with the guy next to me, he is in his Bruins tee and we happen to be watching a re-run of a 24/7, a show that take a look at hockey and its teams behind the scenes, I can't help but be depressed about the on going lockout. I won't get into details because honestly it makes me so angry but I will say I need my sport back!

I grew up in a house where hockey was a daily occurrence, if my brothers weren't playing a game, my dad was coaching, if we weren't in season, we were planning for the next one, it was a big deal. I'm even dating a hockey player :) Hockey was just always present and now that I may experience a lockout as an adult, it's scary.

I just hope that the players and management can come to an agreement before it's too late. They need to stop thinking about themselves and think about the fans!

Until next time!

Things That Go Bump In The Night

Lazy Sunday....it was anything but, I am just now relaxing and it is almost 8!!! Today was filled with the usual Sunday chores; the painstaking process of doing laundry, grocery shopping, cleaning and of course coming up with our Sunday meal.

Today wasn't that hard coming up with something quick and easy and we decided on pulled pork. The recipe was from my mumma of course, like I always say, she has all the good ones. All you need for this recipe is a pork roast and a bottle of bbq sauce, you put it all in the crockpot and let sit all day. Ours came out good but I would have like to have it sit a bit longer. But it was yummy still!

So as Halloween quickly approaches, more and more scary movie previews are beginning to appear on television, not to mention every other movie channel playing one as well. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE scary movies but lately I have been a bit more spooked than usual. We sat down to watch one of guilty pleasures the other night, American Horror Story, for those of you who haven't seen it should start watching it, although it's in its second season, the premise of the show is a whole new story line which helps those who didn't watch last season. Anyways, I digress, we were watching AHS and it was one of those episodes that you find yourself thinking about after its ended and I just found myself easily startled at little things not only in the show but after it was over, little noises, the blinds moving weird, not to mention I mistook a huge picture we have in the bedroom for a person, literally jumped out of my skin but I never use to scare easily which is weird for me, I guess it comes with age.

And if that wasn't enough scare for me, they have been playing Paranormal Activity 4 trailers like its no bodies business, but I am getting pretty good at changing the channel just as frequently.

I have seen all three previous movies but there is something about this one that seems unsettling with me and not to mention the rave reviews it received from my brother....

On that note...I may be skipping this one.

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekends and have a great week!

Until next time!

Linking up for Thursday

One day closer to Friday, who isn't excited about the weekend! I will be heading up to NH to visit my family on Saturday and I am so excited!

For today I am linking up for "It's OK" Thursday.

It's ok that I am excited that the weather is now cold enough for me to wear tights with my dresses.

It's ok that I have been eating the same thing for lunch for the past two week. Can't help it I'm a creature of habit!

It's ok that I screamed like a child last night when I found a stink bug in my car.

It's ok that this weekend is filled with lots and lots of relaxation.

It's ok that I still get homesick :(

It's ok that I've only ran once this week (I will go tonight I promise)!

It's ok that I finally enjoy going to work! FINALLY!!!

Have a lovely Thursday and rest of the weekend if I don't post!

Until next time loves!

Getting Into The Swing of Things

Hi loves, hope everyone had a less than hectic Monday! I am finally getting into the swing of things at work and fitting in more and more. Last week was filled with training but yesterday was my first day on my own and it felt good to know what I was doing.

In other news...I am growing out my hair dun...dun....dun. Its an awful process and trust me everyone around me has heard me bitch and complain probably everyday. Not only does my hair take FOREVER to grow out but it is also at an awkward length right now so its hard to do anything different then wear it down. So in the next couple of days I may be making a  decision to either cut it or start trying some alternate measures to change up the do! If anyone has any suggestions, send them my way!

I am enjoying my extra time in the morning but don't get me wrong I miss my 8-4:30 schedule but oh well, change is a good thing!

Until next time my loves!

Wednesday already?!

Happy Hump Day my loves! It has been one heck of a week and its only Wednesday. Like I mentioned early I started my new job on Tuesday which has been amazing. The job seems like it will be something I will love doing and I've met some great people as well.

I've spent the majority of my night after I got home today catching up on all my favorite blogs, I have been so out of the loop this past week with all my blogs but tonight was a good catch up night and I can't wait to get back on to a normal schedule and be able to get back to my faithful blog schedule...soon hopefully!

This weekend should be a good time to gather my thoughts and relax. The weather is looking to be perfect and chilly and I hope to get some apple picking in, if time allows, who knows what manages to find themselves on my calendar. We are planning on meeting up with some of our friends and going to Dave & Busters which I hear is like a Chuck E Cheese for grown-ups?! Has anyone been? Let me know what I'm in for!

Anyways, I need to go tend to my macaroni on the stove, Ryan is at a dinner with some of the valve guys from overseas so it is dinner for 1 tonight.

Until next time my blog loves!

Better Late Than Never

Hi loves, another Monday come and gone, hope everyone enjoyed their holiday! I know I did. I spent the day preparing myself for the new job which starts tomorrow! I treated myself to some new clothes, my eyebrows freshly waxed and a much needed manicure!

I picked up my new car on Saturday which was the highlight of the weekend! Like I promised, here are some pictures!

Other than the excitement of a new car the weekend was pretty laid back.

Short post tonight, but I'm exhausted and need to relax in front of the tv to keep myself from stressing out about tomorrow. I will be sure to keep you all posted on how it goes.

Until next time!

Red Pants Friday and Good Vibes

Happy Friday my dears! I'm rocking the red pants for my last at work!

Good news is I found a new car! I pick it up Saturday and I couldn't be more excited. Stay tuned for pictures :)

In other news, with all these new and exciting things going on in my life, I had to take a step back and acknowledge the people who have been there to support the ups and downs. I was reading quotes this morning and one jumped out at me:

"Friendship isn’t about whom you’ve know the longest. It’s about who came and never left your side."

The reason this quote is so powerful to me is because the people I surround myself with are just that, they are the friendships that haven't been years long in length but are the true friendships, which I'm starting to see is way more important. I have a handful of people who would drop anything for me right now and I would do the same and that is huge for me. I've always been the quality over quantity type. I love love love all of the people who are helping in my happiness and supporting me, (that includes all you lovies as well).

My family, Ry's family and of course Ryan have seen me through this whole process as well and I applaud them for sticking through it with me :)

I'm at a really good place in my life and this blog is also another big contributer to that, I love knowing that I have other people besides that close to me that will listen (read) what I'm going through and be there for support! You all are great!

On that note, I hope you all have an amazing Friday and a better weeekend. The weather isn't looking too promising here in New England but we will make due!

Until next time loves!

Thursday Calls for a Link Up

Happy Thursday to you all! Another wet day here in New England but we are one day closer to Friday which should shed a little sunshine on all of us!

Today I am trying something new and linking up with the Amber and Neely for "It's OK" Thursday.

It's ok...

that I only gave my work a few days notice on when my last day with them would be. New opportunities call for sacrifices.

that I was absolutely scared out of my mind last night being in the apartment by myself. Damn you late Wednesday night hockey for stealing my man!

that I am going to look at new cars today. I have never had a brand new car and I think it's time I deserve one.

that I haven't worked out once this week. The weather is leaving me too lazy to get out of bed, let alone go for a run.

that I am trying my hardest with an old friend to rekindle a friendship. Because honestly no matter how awful the fall out was, I'm not ready to give up.

that I bought myself some new heels.

that I have been reading magazines all week at work because my motivation level is just not there.

it's okay that I am terrified to start my new job but know that it will be good for me in the long run.

I feel like that are a lot of "it's oks" but its been a long week. Very ready for the weekend.

Enjoy your Thursday's my loves.

Until next time!

To New Beginnings

Happy Hump day my loves!

With a long wet and windy drive to start to my morning I couldn't help but think about how blessed I am in so many ways. I have an amazing boyfriend, I have some pretty great (not to mention true) friendships, I have a loving and supporting family, I am blessed with good health and now on top of all that wonderfulness, I FINALLY SCORED A NEW JOB!!!!

I found out last night and I could not wait to share the great news. Trust me this search for a new job has not been easy and it has gone on for so long I  almost gave up but last night that all changed and I couldn't be happier! I am going to be working in the HR department for a company I have always dreamed about working for! I can't wait! My love for fashion and my career are coming together! I start the new job on Tuesday so I am in  little predicament with giving my current job such a short notice but this is such an opportunity I can't pass up!

I just wanted to share my wonderful news with all of you and I can't wait to share the next chapter in my life!

Stay dry today loves!

Until next time.

October already?!

Happy Monday everyone!

Can you believe it's already October?!

With Fall in full swing, now comes the hockey schedule haha. Don't get me wrong I love that Ryan plays hockey, I'm just not 100% percent comfortable in the apartment yet and when I'm alone I scare myself easily! Anyways, Friday night he left for hockey and I needed to catch up on my Thursday night guilty pleasures a.k.a Grey's and Scandal. Let me just say, its good Ryan wasn't around to witness my emotional breakdown for Grey's (I won't ruin it for those who are still catching up). After my shows were over it became a game trying to find something to watch and quickly racing to find the remote as soon as a scary movie trailer came on, I swear I love this time of year but the movie trailers that come along with it...no thank you! So I settled on the Disney channel (don't laugh) its the only station without scary movie trailers...am I right?! Ryan came home and I'm passed out to the Disney channel haha.

Saturday we went down to UCONN to visit Ryan's sister who had just turned 21. It was a nice day, the rain held off for the most part. We went out to a late lunch and had cake back in her dorm. Its always good to visit her! That night we just relaxed and caught up on TV shows. Relaxing nights are always good before our usual busy Sundays.

Sunday was the usual, we went and visited with Ryan's parents before we made our trek to Wegman's, once the grocery shopping was done we rushed home just in time for the Patriots game. I made fried green beans which were surprisingly easy, I left the recipe at home but will post later. Once I digested from the green beans and wings, it was time to bake my apple crisp. I had been wanting to try baking one since last fall. I tried one last fall but it just didn't come out as well as I planned. So I tried another recipe. I used this recipe here. It turned out amazing! It was a great dessert to our Sunday dinner.
Right out of the oven!

Yum!

Well I guess I should get back to work. Its not going to finish itself, even though that would be amazing!

Until next time!

And the Last Week of September is in Full Swing

Happy Monday my blog loves.

I hope everyone enjoyed the first weekend of Fall as much as I did!

This weekend we met up with our friends Tim and Jenn and headed to a familiar MA attraction called Kimball Farm in Westford or Bolton one of those. But it was your typical farm type place filled with fried food, mini golf, ice cream, goats, and even an arcade. Some photos from our adventure are below.

Then on Sunday was the typical routine of grocery shopping, laundry, and of course football. Last nights Pats game was a mess so I will go no further on discussing it. As I keep saying it's early in the season. Then I made the easiest dinner ever, well the ingredients and cooking part were easy, it was my stove that set us back. I don't have where the original recipe came from but bless them for coming up with a gem!

What you need:
2 chicken breasts
Green beans (fresh or frozen)
Red potatoes (cut into fours)
1 packet of Italian dressing
1 stick of melted butter

All you need to do is place the chicken in a casserole, place green beans on one side and the red potatoes on the other then drizzle with the melted butter and pour the dressing packet over it. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 1 hour. This is where my stove issues came about, when I had baked it for an hour and it wasn't finished so next time I may try a higher heat and a little bit longer.

 Yum!

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their Monday.

Until next time!

First Official Weekend of Fall Is Here

Happy Friday loves!

It is the first weekend of Fall! Saturday marks the official First day of Autumn and I couldn't be happier. My season is finally here. I can officially bust out the fall boots and not feel crazy about all the fall decorations in my apartment!

photo credit from this lovely blog with some awesome fall decorations.

If only I had a fireplace to begin with and was this crafty.

The weather was also exceptionally Fall like when I left this morning which was good because I finally got to wear my new leopard scarf.
Along with the fall weather and fashions, what I look forward to the most about fall is the activities. Bring on the corn mazes, apple picking, pumpkin carving and fall cooking! Hopefully we will get out this weekend and do something to embrace the changing season.

Everyone enjoy the weekend and do something fall!

Until next time.

It Has Finally Occurred To Me...

Good morning loves!

I have come to a realization this morning...I am not cut out for a desk job. Yes, I understand there are people everyone who say they would love to not be sitting at a desk all day and doing something else but I truly believe that this lifestyle is not for me.

I have made it very very clear (especially to all those around me) that a 9-5 day job is the type of job that just is not my cup of tea. I literally cannot sit at my desk longer for an hour without getting antsy and need to get up and find something to occupy my time and keep me away from my desk. It also doesn't help that work is especially slow lately, which leads me to just sit and twiddle my thumbs, not the best way to make my day go by. I would love to be able to come and go as I please and be able to take care of things at home while still being employed.

And there is where the dilemma begins?

I need a career change and quick because it is really getting to me. My thoughts are all over the place on the first step to a new career and trust me I've been applying and interviewing but I just want my next career to be something I LOVE, not just something that is paying the bills but I really want to be excited to go to work.

As of right now, I think my option is to start looking at going back to school and get my butt moving on this change. I mean come on there are only so many excuses to use for walking around the office and I'm running out of them!

Any advice for those who have made career changes would be so appreciated!

Until next time! Enjoy this beautiful day!

From Everyday Frustrations to Award Nominations

Waking up late, cold coffee, and the weather taking a turn for the worst are just a few of the frustrations of the morning.

But my mood was lifted when I received a lovely message from Michelle from Skinny Jeans & Coffey Beans letting me know she has nominated me for the Versatile Blogger Award!

Ms. Michelle's love for pumpkin and New England had brought us together and she shares that love and much more on her blog....her blog is a must read.

I appreciate the nomination more than you know!

This was the first I've heard about this award, so I'm spreading the word and encouraging people to participate. The rules are as follows:

  • Nominate up to 15 fellow bloggers who are relatively new to blogging
  • Let the nominated bloggers know that they have been nominated for this award
  • Share 7 random facts about yourself
  • Thank the blogger(s) who nominated you
  • Add the Versatile Blogger Award picture to your blog.

With following the rules, I have decided to nominate Kayla from Simple Bliss for the award.

I've known Kayla for quite some time but I love learning a new side to Kay through her blog...she posts some of the most delicious recipes you have ever seen. Please check out her blog, try her recipes and show her some love!

Now the 7 random facts about myself:
  1. I HATE the words moist and nugget. I am not usually a stickler for weird habits but those two words get me every, every time.
  2. I love the color Red. Not many people know that this is my favorite color, but it is.
  3. I can't swim. I can doggy paddle for a bit, but if it came down to swimming for my life well I would die.
  4.  I'm afraid of the dark. You would never guess if you walked into my bedroom and saw the dark curtains and no light shades, but I am scared of the unknown when the lights go out.
  5. I listen to country music. Most people are use to me listening to house music or rap, but when I'm by myself I love me some country ya'll.
  6. I hate driving. Yes, I understand it is a necessity to be able to drive from place to place but if i had the option I wouldn't drive.
  7. My last strange fact is that I have weird infatuation if you will with smells. I love candles and anything that smells good but if we cook something and it burns I feel like the only smell I can smell is that and it becomes something I obsess over until I get rid of it...so weird.

Might have been my longest post, ever!

Thanks again Michelle for nominating me!

Until next time.

Beautiful Weather, a Nature Walk, and Banana Bread

Happy Monday loves.

A little behind on the Monday morning blog post but you know how Mondays can be after the weekend.

This weekends weather was beautiful, no complaints. Hiked on Saturday and the leaves are just starting to get that color changing feel which got me in the mood for some fall flavor so we picked up some apple cider doughnuts and a chicken pot pie on the way home.

Sunday was relaxing, the usual food shopping, laundry and Patriots game. A very disappointing game but oh well its still early in the season.

Speaking of sports and their seasons, woke up Sunday to realize the NHL is now in a lockout and growing up in a hockey household and dating a hockey player and fan, not having a Bruins season right now is devastating. But I remain optimistic!

Like I promised I am going to post the banana recipe I tried this weekend. It was a delicious, just enough banana and super super good warm with butter. I got the recipe here. I recommend it to anyone who is looking for a fast recipe. My whole kitchen smelt delicious while it was baking. I was even able to make 2 whole loaves with this recipe.

Let me know if you enjoy this recipe as much as I did.

Until next time!

Times are Changing

Happy Friday everyone!

Looking forward to a relaxing weekend filled with some light house cleaning and laundry, a movie night with the hunny tonight, maybe some hiking tomorrow and of course, football on Sunday.

You can tell the Fall is approaching because our weekends begin to slow down a bit until the holiday season of course, but right now its the lull dying down from summer birthdays, beach trips and BBQs.  A time to really just relax.

I plan on making some fudge this weekend, and if everything comes out as planned and delicious as its suppose to I will post the recipe :)

Enjoy the weekend everyone!

LETS GO PATS!!!

Until next time lovies!

We Will Never Forget

God Bless America.

I am dedicating today's blog to everyone affected by September 11th.

I am taking this time to remember those who lost their  lives on that tragic day 11 years ago and pray for the families who grieve those losses.

We will never forget.

Weekend Warming Chili

Loved waking up this morning with the air being a little cooler, fall is so close!

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful weekend! A big thank you to the Patriots for that wonderful win yesterday. Speaking of the Patriots, I made a quick and simple chili yesterday for game day. The recipe is my mum's and she swears its the easiest chili recipe out there. The recipe can be doubled or tripled depending on the size you are serving. Perfect for a Sunday football party!

What you will need:

  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can light red kidney beans
  • 1 can dark red kidney beans
  • 1 package of chili mix
  • Shredded cheese

Begin by browning the meat until it is cooked all the way through. This is probably the most time consuming part of the recipe but even then 1 lb of ground beef browns rather quickly.

The last step involves combining the chili mix, the two cans of beans and the diced tomatoes. Mix all of those ingredients together. Cover and let simmer on low for 2-4 hours. I feel the longer you let it sit the tastier it is.

After you let it simmer, top it off with some shredded cheese and enjoy! Ryan likes to dip bread into his, so a loaf of fresh Italian or French bread is always good to have on hand with chili.

Let me know if this chili is the big hit at your next football party!

Until next time.

Lovely Lovely Friday

It's Friday!

We made it through another week, a short one, but a busy week no less. I hope everyone has some good plans for this upcoming weekend. The weather is suppose to feel more like fall and the Patriots kick off their season on Sunday!

I wanted to share a few things I'm loving right now.

Pumpkin beer

My growing Alex and Ani collection

Pumpkin coffee and the Patriots

The beautiful New England weather

Anything and everything leopard

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Until next time.

Oh how the summer goes by...

The middle of the week is already come and gone and we are two days closer to the weekend!

Hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day and the extra day off from work. Our weekend was filled with   new restaurant experiences and plenty of sun. Soaking up what was left of the summer. Labor Day always has that feeling of leaving the Summer behind but welcoming my favorite season...the Fall.

We had the pleasure of trying Bistro 20 in Sudbury on Friday. I would recommend the menu to the Italian lovers out there, but the atmosphere was lacking for a Friday night. We were the only people in the main dining room and it was 6 o'clock on a Friday...strange but overall enjoyable.

Saturday, we had an early dinner with Ryan's grandfather and his wife at the Cheesecake Factory, so much food, so much cheesecake! Can't complain for a girl who loves food and loves sweets.

I decided to get creative in the kitchen on Monday after eating out I felt we needed some homemade cooking. I saw a recipe on Pinterest for Spicy Cream Chicken and Pasta. Recipe can be found here. The recipe was delicious and made an ample amount for leftovers for the next night. This will definitely  be a recipe I add to my cook book!

Well as you can see the long weekend was filled with lots and lots of food but also some good relaxation before the rush of fall and the countless Fall television shows start up again.

Enjoy the last few days of warm weather and start cleaning out that closet for all the scarves and sweaters of the season. Look forward to my upcoming tips on how to better organize when downsizing aka apartment living.

Until next time.

Catching up from the weekend

Tuesday...its not Thursday but we are getting there.

The weekend was filled with friends and family and the not so fun good byes. Needed some time to catch up.

Ryan's sisters (you can learn more about Ryan here) were leaving for college and it was an unexpected stir of emotions. I was use to seeing them over the course of the summer but now was the time to say our goodbyes.

Meg was the first one to go, leaving us on Friday we spent the night Wednesday with her to say our goodbyes, this was her first time going off to college, but we knew she was ready. Our future UNH Wildcat!

Jenna left on Saturday but we were sure to say goodbye before they embarked early morning on Saturday, we made our way on Friday night to wish her luck in her junior year. She has been making us proud as a UCONN Huskie!

Saturday was filled with my family and puppies. Spent the day up in NH visiting with my mum and dad while Ryan did some golfing, then we had a BBQ to end the day. I love living on my own and with Ry but seeing my parents, my brothers and my little pups Lou and Colby always makes me smile.

Work got off on the wrong foot on Monday, we lost our internet and phones which left me useless and the rest of the company as well, I left early but once again our system is down today and I am working from home, which gives me a good excuse to write and catch up on my weakness...reality tv!

The E! channel is back from a commercial and the Kardashian's are just getting good...until next time!

Room for Improvement

"I have to be careful not to be too proud in life, because there is always room for improvement. "
-Sylvia Kristel

I always find myself looking at something and thinking how could that have been better. Whether its a conversation with my boss, a  cookie recipe,  or even a simple text message - there is always ways to improve it or do it better.

Most of my ideas on this blog come from looking for ways to improve not only my life but the lives of those around me and of course having fun while doing it.

I look forward to sharing the more I learn, write, explore, try, succeed or fail, and get inspire.
