Another season, Another blog post

Let me start by saying that I have been bad...

A bad blog writer that is. I have completely abandoned writing and ignored this poor blog for too long. But I am back and this time it's for good. The summer is finally here which means I will find more time for writing, whether it's in the car on a roadtrip, at the beach or sitting poolside, I will write. Summer is by far my favorite season and I cannot wait to get in full swing of this fabulous season.

Not only does my birthday fall into this wonderful season, which I celebrated two weeks ago, but it gives me the excuse to get to the beach. Yes, this time of year it is hot and the beach does not seem like the place to cool down, to mention we are in the middle of heat wave here in New England but the beach can be amazing any time of day. Even if you sit inside all day in the AC but escape to the beach at night for stargazing. I hope to spend many many weekends at the beach, I am even escaping to the Cape for week mid - July on vacation with Ryan's family. There is a lot of sand and salt water in my future!

Foot Bridge Beach - Maine

So what have I been doing in my b.l.o.a (blog leave of absence) you may ask? Well...

We moved into a new apartment

I became a vegan

I've been consumed by the reality show that is Newlyweds-The First Year

See I've been busy....

But I promise I am back and better than ever! Now off to have a date with my DVR and the season finale of above mentioned show!

Have a fabulous night xO

It's About Time

I know...I know...it's been what feels like years since I've sat down to blog. Trust me I have been going back and forth with the idea of even starting to blog/write again. Don't get me wrong, writing on here is an amazing exepierence and I get to read many different blogs and learn many different things and not to mention the people I meet along the way but blogging can also be very time consuming. Ah! Time, something I feel like I have been having less and less of. (So many new and exciting things happening which have been consuming my time, but I will fill you all in slowly)

Yes, the statement of a blog being time consuming can be argued..."It cant be that hard to sit and write a blog post, takes a few seconds and your done." For me it is not about sitting down and jotting a quick note and then it's over. I use blogging as a way to de-stress and a way to just sometimes get what I'm feeling off my chest, and trust me, that can take time.

With the whirl wind of starting my new job not too long ago and not to mention we are moving again (in 6 days mind you) and other things in between it's been very hard to sit down and focus on writing. I've also been fighting with the notion of what my blog really stands for - trust me I have much more improvement that needs to be done in my life, but I don't think my blog is actually highlighting anything that could be useful for improving ones life. That will change! I am vowing to post useful insight on things that will infact improve my life and hopefully yours, there will be some posts that aren't as helpful as others but that is only natural.

I am welcoming myself back into the blog world and hope to never let myself slip on posting again (see that is an improvement right there!)

Happy Friday to all my blog loves and I'm happy to be back!

I'm Back!!

It feels like forever since I have written a post in awhile. I think I have been in a writing rut and not to mention the holiday season is in full swing.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, full of food and family and not to mention the long weekend off from work was amazing. Don't get me wrong I love my job but there is something about waking up on a Monday after having four days off that just makes you feel blah. Not to mention I've given up coffee cold turkey so my mornings are very interesting. Trust me it has been hard, not just the headaches from the withdrawal but I also just miss it!

My holiday season is booking up pretty fast, I love it but sometimes I just want no plans at all. I just want to sit back and enjoy the season. I put up all my decorations this weekend and will be getting our tree next Sunday, early I know but I want to enjoy it instead of rushing to put it up and take it down. Ryan thinks I'm nuts but I secretly think he loves it!

Well I must get ready to head to work, but I just wanted to jump on here quick to let all those know that I have not abandoned my blog, just took a little hiatus to get my head together.

Enjoy your Monday!

Until next time.

Some Snowfall and a Thursday Link-Up

Hello my blog loves, one day closer to Friday, how can you complain...oh wait it snowed yesterday! I could not believe it when I glanced outside this morning and saw the snow covering the ground.

Not okay!

Anyway, its Thursday and I'm linking up for It's Ok Thursday. Not sure if I can come up with enough things that I am letting slide this week, but I will try.

It's okay...

...that I am going to start my Christmas shopping and decoration planning this weekend.

...that I have finally realized I need to get into shape and will start working out everyday before work.

...that I haven't had time to catch up on my celebrity gossip. Miss my Perez.

...that I'm listening to Christmas music.

...that I bought new boots last weekend and I will be buying them in black this weekend.

...that I have given up on working on some friendships, I'm happy with the people in my life.

....that I have NO IDEA what to get Ryan for Christmas. No Clue!!!

...that I get tired at 8:00. Is it bedtime yet?

Well with it being almost 8, I better get ready for bed haha but seriously. I'm going to go cuddle with the guy for a bit, then off to bed.

Goodnight all....until next time.

My Fellow Americans

Happy Election Day! I hope everyone had the chance to get out and vote today! I voted via absentee ballot because I'm now living in MA and just haven't registered here yet. Anyways I was pretty excited that I was able to vote and as we sit here in anticipation waiting for the election shows to start and the ballots to be counted, I thought I would take some time to write a bit.

I'm sure everyone has heard about the Nor'Easter that may be hitting New England this week. Don't get me wrong this is my favorite time of year I love the holidays and spending time with family and friends, but the weather that accompanies this time of year is not my favorite. I don't like being cold and I hate the snow. But all I can do is throw on a cute scarf and jacket and face the elements. That was my little vent sesh for the night.

Speaking of the holiday season. As crazy as it seems, I am going to get a head start on my Christmas shopping this weekend. I have quite the lengthy list of loved ones this year and need to start now so I don't overwhelm myself. Also, its the first year me and Ryan are celebrating the holidays in our own place which means I have to of course start my collection of decorations as soon as I can!

If only my living room looked like that!

Well stay warm everyone and if I don't write (because I'm too wrapped up in Christmas shopping, no pun intended) enjoy the weekend!

Until next time!

Friday is The Best Day

I love that feeling of waking up on a Friday when you know this is your last day to have to get up early, its a great feeling.

I have failed as a blogger this week but I have just been too tired to post. But I made a promise to myself that if I could post at least once a week I would and here it is!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween! We had no Trick or Treaters which made me sad but I kind of had a feeling living in an apartment that we really wouldn't have any but of course I bought candy anyway, now I must fight and have strong willpower not to eat it.

I know I swore up and down that I would not see Paranormal Activity in theaters, but I was peer pressured into it. Ryan had his friends up on Tuesday night and we went out for a few drinks and the next thing I knew I was at the movies. In all honesty it wasn't that scary - a few jumpy parts but nothing like the others.

This weekend looks nice and relaxing which is good because before we know it the holidays will be in full swing and it will be busy busy busy. I will be spending Saturday visiting with family and just enjoying the beautiful weather we are expecting. Sunday of course will be house keeping and football per usual!

Have a good Friday everyone!

Until next time!
